Until we travel again…And why Africa needs you
Now we have all settled into a life of isolation, it’s stating the obvious to say
the world has never seen anything like this – and gee I hope we never do again!
I prefer to focus on the good things in all the bad; like how nice it is to slow down and get unconstrained family time and connect with loved ones & industry colleagues via video chats as well as reflecting on the planet getting a big almighty rest.
The reports of blue waters in the canals of Venice, clear views of Mt Kenya and the Himalayas from places that have never seen the mountains before and reports of coyotes on the Golden Gate Bridge all warm my heart.
In some areas in Africa I am sure the animals are stunned at the
downturn of tourism & wondering where everyone has gone!
The problem however is AFRICA WITHOUT TOURISM simply means poorer countries become poorer and funding for Wildlife Conservation stops. Rangers will not be paid to protect the animals and illegal poaching will increase.
For this reason, I urge you to postpone and not cancel.
I have spent the best part of 30 years selling safaris to Africa, my second home. The place I feel truly at peace and my main source of motivation to do better in this world whilst knowing I am part of the big picture in building up Africa, it’s people and wildlife.
As I sit in my home office I pray for COVID-19 to stop so we can all travel again and I can once again plan bespoke itineraries to showcase the glory of
AFRICA – A Trip of a Lifetime Destination
For now, I am spending my time moving holidays from 2020 to 2021/2022 and even 2023 and working on all aspects of my business to help serve you better in the future.
Africa will recover and I remain optimistic there is a bright future ahead.
Until a later time BE INSPIRED and DREAM about travelling again.
Save those pennies because when the time is right – Africa will be waiting and across the globe we will be rejoicing together on holidays near and far.
