The owner of African Expert, Katrina Kucera has over 18 years experience in the travel industry and is considered an expert in her field. Katrina has worked and traveled extensively around the world and in Africa which places her in a unique position of being able to offer you the best advice and design safaris to suit your style and budget.

Having first stepped foot on African soil over 15 years ago, Katrina originally worked ‘on the road’ for an overland safari company. This year-long safari experience took her from Nairobi to Cape Town and vice versa. This experience provided Katrina with an excellent local knowledge of Africa and its people.

Over the years Katrina has returned to Africa many times experiencing something new and exhilarating on each visit. She has experienced the luxurious side of safari life where your every need is catered for and been lucky enough to travel to some of the most remote and pristine wildlife areas in the world. Katrina says that sleeping under canvas or under the African night sky is an experience not to be missed. Amongst her fondest memories are a Gorilla Trek in Uganda and a Luxury Fly-in Safari incorporating Botswana & Namibia. In February 2008 Katrina visited South Africa & Mauritius where she reviewed the latest hot spots.
